Among the main novelties of this process is the need to demonstrate Spanish language proficiency, in case of nationals of non-speaking countries must be accredited by submitting Spanish Diploma DELE A2 level or above issued by the Cervantes Institute on behalf of the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports.
At the time of submitting all the necessary documents to apply for Spanish citizenship, you must have completed the tests, both the language examination DELE (if necessary) and the Constitutional and Socio-cultural Knowledge test (CCSE).

And although right now we are currently unable to take CCSE exam (Constitutional Knowledge and Socio-Cultural), we can sign up to the DELE language test as the Cervantes Institute who set the dates to test for A2 level.
